Rocker ArmsMelling Rocker Arm

Melling lists rocker arms for both domestic and import applications. Depending on OEM design specifications, Melling rocker arms are provided in either stamped or cast materials. Each rocker arm is built from only the best materials and manufacturing processes available. Melling recommends installing new rocker arms and components with every engine rebuild to assure long engine life and the most efficient performance.

New Melling rocker arms should always be part of a new valve train build. To make selection of the desired combination of rocker arms and installation hardware easier, Melling offers rocker arm kits that provide the rocker arm and correct fulcrum, bolt and stud combinations for your engine application.

Rocker Arm Adjusting Screws

Melling recommends new rocker arm screws with every engine rebuild. Old screws are subject to metal failure, screw stretching, and worn threads. Sews also tend to be lost or damaged during the rebuilding process. There is also a danger of metal cracking when the old rocker arm screw is removed from the head. Melling rocker arm screws are manufactured to high quality and material standards. Using new rocker arm screws assures proper installation and valve train adjustment.

Rocker Arm Ball

The rocker arm ball (aka pivot and or fulcrum) is essential to dependable rocker arm performance. Damaged and / or worn rocker arm balls will increase friction and allow for erratic and inefficient arm movement leading to premature engine failure.
