Jackson, Michigan – Melling Engine Parts CEO Mark Melling announces the acquisition of Performance Springs UK Ltd. based in Blackpool England. Performance Springs specializes in design and manufacturing of springs for the automotive and industrial sectors. Recently Performance started supplying Melling its aftermarket needs from its 20,000 sq foot facility.
The acquisition brings together two talented teams focused on providing solutions to its customers. “We have been so impressed with the product and staff that we decided to buy the company!” stated Melling. “We plan to bring more innovation and ramp up inventory of our Melling valve spring line with the acquisition.”
The new Company will be renamed to Melling Performance Springs Limited and all managment and sales staff are staying with the company. “The acquisition by Melling is a once in a lifetime opportunity” stated Amit Devanga, General Manager of Melling Performance Springs. “We are creating a global spring company with engineering performance at its core!”
Melling Engine Parts is a fourth generation family business based in Jackson Michigan and supplies both OE replacement and performance aftermarket sectors. “Even with all that is happening our commitment to the talented and innovative staff at PSL has not waivered. We are both fortunate and honored to add the Melling name to Performance Springs UK Ltd and look forward to celebrating our 75th anniversary in the automotive business with them next year.”
